Who’s hot? Who’s not? Do you drop one player for another or sit pat, bench your guy and ride out a cold streak?
Once the MOTY Scouting Tools are available, this is where you’ll get down to the nitty-gritty of fantasy baseball research. Select a batter or pitcher and you’ll be able to generate the complete picture — graphs telling you the real story behind his season visually, instantly.
In a snapshot, you’ll be able to examine a player’s MOTY#s (YTD, MTD, last week), 5x5 scoring categories and secondary stats. Chart them against his 2008 projected stats and you’ll immediately see if he’s hot or heating up, cool or cooling off, or right where you’d expect him to be. You’ll also be able to chart his 2006 2008 production against his 2007 stats to see if he’s following any historical trends — very useful insight for managing any fantasy baseball team.
Seeing what’s going on with a guy on your roster is the first step. Figuring out if you should drop him for a free agent who seems hot is the next. With the MOTY Scouting Tools, you can compare the two, graphing your player’s stats vs. the free agent’s stats, actual and projected. Then pick the one who’s more likely to help your team in the fantasy categories needing improvement.
Stay tuned. The MOTY Scouting Tools will be coming soon.
